New management in 2010

Lone Hartung Nielsen has been appointed Director of Nordic Patent Institute from 1st February 2010. Lone is presently Director of Sales and Marketing at the Danish Patent and Trademark Office. Grétar Ingi Grétarsson, a former legal advisor at the Icelandic Patent Office, has been appointed Deputy Director.

Nordic Patent Institute enters new phase

On 1st January 2010, Nordic Patent Institute celebrates its second birthday. We are now ready to enter a new phase. Search and analysis services formerly sold to international customers by the national patent offices will from now on be handled by Nordic Patent Institute.

Closing Dates for Christmas and New Year 2009/2010

Nordic Patent Institute will be officially closed between Christmas and New Year, from 24th December 2009 until 1st January 2010 inclusive. During this period:

1. all applications will be allocated a filing date which is the actual date the application is dropped in the NPI mail box or received by e-mail or fax.
2. all deadlines expiring on an official closing day will automatically be extended to the first following working day.
3. no inquiries will be answered during official closing dates.
