The FORMAMP consortium meets at SP Process Development

The FORMAMP project is a 4-year EU funded project that started in 2013 and consists of 16 partners from academia and industry as well as the Medical Products Agency. SP Process Development’s part in this consortium is to add competences in the scale up and regulatory requirements (CMC) for a pharmaceutical project. FORMAMP is a rather complex project also in this aspect since the focus is advanced formulations that will include new excipients not tested earlier in humans.

The project aims to develop new and innovative formulation strategies, based on the combination of nanotechnology-based delivery systems and antimicrobial peptides (AMPs), for the treatment of infectious diseases caused by bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Mycobacterium tuberculosis.

FORMAMP is funded by the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013) under grant agreement no 604182.
